Why do I keep wishing that things would just go back to being normal? I keep wishing all of a sudden Murray will walk through the door and tell me it was all a big mistake or a bad dream and things will be as they were before. I feel like an idiot for thinking that but there is a decent amount of time when I feel that way.

Last night my parents came over to crunch numbers with/for me to see if I can manage on my own. It is going to be tough but I think I can make it - it is really going to depend on how much Murray will agree to for child support. A few hundred dollars makes a huge difference in what I can have the kids do as far as activities if any at all.

I wish I didn't have to think about and worry about this so much.

09:21 pm - The moon
So we were driving home from my mom and dad's house tonight and Mollie had a cute little conversation with me. She is such a good talker that sometimes I truly forget that she is only just turned two.

Mollie: Look Mommy, the moon.
Me: Yeah it's pretty isn't it
Mollie: It is pretty.
Pause while she seems to contemplate that.
Mollie: Mommy did you make the moon? (I had just finished making her a super cute pillowcase dress so maybe this is why she thought I made the moon??)
Me: No I didn't make the moon
Another pause where she is thinking
Mollie: Who made the moon?
Me: God made the moon (wasn't sure what else to say!)
Mollie: I like God.
A few seconds later . . .
Mollie: God makes nice moons!

01:26 pm - Happy One month little dude!!!
William you are one month old today!!! I can't believe how fast this month has gone by! We are all still gettting used to having you around especially your sister, but slowly things are settling into a routine!

I just weighed you and you are a whopping 10 lbs 3 oz!!!! That is a VERY decent weight gain for your first month! Guess mommy's milk is doing you good!

08:03 pm - Introducing William Edward Michael!!!
So I am pretty late in doing this - what can I say having 2 kids is way more work than just one!

William (Wil) was born on June 21st 2007 at 1:28pm after 2 hours of active labour and 13 minutes of pushing!! Totally and completely drug free on my part - I have been told by many people that I am defiantely made tohave babies!

He weighed 8 lbs 5 ozs almost a full pound heavier than Mollie who was 7 lbs 6 ozs. He is doing great and Mollie so far has been wonderful with him. I t has been really nice having Murray home right now to give her all the love and attention she misses out on when I am dealing with Wil.

So now for the good stuff:

01:10 pm - Not long now!
Only a few more weeks and I will be the mother of TWO!!!! Life has become so busy these past few weeks that I feel I never have time to do any of the things I want to do. Either I am working or running around doing errands or finishing school work or just being a mommy to Mollie.

Mollie is growing up so fast! I can't believe she is almost two! She has amazing language skills and talking full sentences more than 75% of the time. I am so proud of her! I think this week she officially became a toddler as she has skinned both her knees while running on concrete! She has the odd hissy fit now too but we are working on that. Hopefully the adjustment of becoming a big sister won't be too hard for her.

I took some new pics of her yesterday but I have to download them off of the camera so I will try and get to that soon.

06:07 pm - OH MY!!!!
So round one in my school district has just closed and I applied for just over 20 positions. These are full time continuing contracts so it would give me security because I would know exactly where I was going to be after coming off of mat leave.

Anyhow the postings just closed at 4:30 and by 4:35 the phone started ringing. I now have 4 interviews in the next 2 days and I am thinking that there are more coming because I know there are two hard to fill positions I applied for which I have not been called about yet. I am happy to have the opportunity to do the interviews but man I am going to be soooo tired of interviews by the end of this!

12:03 am - What I have been up to the past 2 days....
I have been making lots and lots of DIAPERS!!!

I got a brain wave to make some fitted diapers because I saw a post by someone else on a board showing what to do. I read it and went - hmmm that is tooo easy. I made my own pattern based on the cover I like and then began using up old flannel and microfleece I had here.

So the result is:
There are actually a WHOLE lot more of the bigger ones but Mollie wore them today - there are an additonal 5 in the drier right now!

Little ones:

Big ones:

I also headed to Value Village tonight to see if I could score any cheap flannel sheets to use and found a winnie the pooh sheet and a sesame sheet and orange fleece to go with a few more diapers!
